Blooooooooogggggggssssss!
Ever since I started using Bloglines, my blog reading has been getting out of control. It’s just so easy to add a blog to the list, and then I feel I have to check a site whenever there’s a new post. I just can’t help myself. Does anyone else have this problem?
I guess the best solution would be to organize the links into groups based on how often I want to check them (weekly, daily, hourly, etc.) and then force myself to stick to my schedule. Unless someone else has a better solution to this problem.
Anyone?

Do this: if you use the Notifier, set only the blogs you have time to read whenever to notify. All the others set to be ignored by the Notifier.
Then, ONLY read the ones that you are notified of. (This may require creating some folders based on this organization system.) Later, when you have down time, go after the others.
I do this because I can’t stand to see that there are posts waiting—that little red number mocks me!

I don’t use Bloglines, but I’ve got the same problem w/my aggregator, anyway. It’s currently mocking me with 1915 unread items, but I’m training myself not to care about that.
So much blog goodness, so little time.

My problem isn’t quite as advanced as yours (wow), but maybe because of that, I’m finding the “unread items” indicator extremely difficult to ignore. “Oh, it’ll just take a few minutes to check these out.”
I might have to take kristine’s suggestion (thanks, kristine!) and turn off the notification for the pages I read less often. But then I just feel like I’m missing out on something.
Argh…
