Pick 'em

Last week: 1-3. Common wisdom was for shit. Record on the year: 22-15-1. I'll still take it.

Damn you.

(That statement would have an exclamation point after it if I wasn't consoling myself with the Rose Bowl.)

Nice call on the Buckeyes game--even tho I go to Michigan, I still hate 'em.

About 75% of the time when I say I'm from Nebraska, people start yapping about 1997 & how it was somehow unjust for them to have been forced to share the title with us.

What a joke. That said, usually after a bit of friendly bantering, these people do eventually admit to being relieved that the teams weren't paired up that year, as Nebraska would probably have crushed them.

In closng, GO Cal!!

J, Soup, your fellow commenter on this post is a Michigan fan (as if you couldn't tell) and he's mentioned at least once on this weblog how much he hates Tom Osborne.

It was sorta funny to hear TO talking in the press how Vegas had Nebraska as a 9 point favorite if the game was played, despite his hatred for betting on college sports. Of course, TO will be governor in a couple of years and most likely work to ban the death penalty in this state (to the shock and horror of Husker fans across the state), so I'll give him a little slack.
