I love Killing Me Softly by the Fugees. I had the CD on loan from an ex years ago, but it's gone now. I remember the song right after KMS was hard rap and quite a shift.

That was the beauty of putting KMS on that album. Pretty much everything else on it is hardcore rap and very well done, I might add. I worked in a record store for a couple years and I was always amused by the number of soccer mom types who came in and bought the entire album for that one song rather than just buy the cassingle (love that word) or CD single.

woo hoo drive-by truckers! the patterson hood solo album "killers and stars" is good for studying also, especially with hits like "uncle disney" and "belinda carslile", with a chorus of "cocaine and milkshakes, milkshakes, cocaine".
