Taking suggestions
I think I'm pretty much done with the overhaul although I may do some minor tweaking here and there.
One question:
What should I do with the upper right hand box? Pictures of kittens? Fightin' words? Cocktail recipes? Maybe just the word "FREEDOM" with realistic-looking animated blood dripping from it? A random mix of all of the above?

Soup, I agree with The Hot Librarian. Of course, the only person in this comment thread I have pictures of is julee.

Idea: Put your "tagline" in there (like "now with more monochrome"); make it really good (like "Not your average clenched-cheek sprint to the bathroom") and maybe you could get a bloggie!
Use a script (like one of these or these) to put a rotatating quote or quip in there. You could also do random photos. You could make it your "meta info" box, including an "about" link, RSS link, link to archives, email link, etc. Or what if you eliminated it altogether and just started the right-hand column up there? Would that look strange?
Just thinking out loud. I like the new look though; change = good.
