Have I ever mentioned how much I hate law school?
Maybe it's just the late 2L blahs or something. It just sucks. The classes are boring. I can barely drag myself up 48th St. everyday. Moot court competition is looming next week. I have about a 50% chance of making the national team for next year but I can't stand even thinking about putting together oral arguments.
Torts, contracts, civ pro and property sound so fun and quaint to me right now.

It gets better.

Here here! This law school thing is *so* overrated, and I am *so* ready to be done w/this semester. I even kind of like my classes and I'm still tired of going. I shudder to think what the burnout is going to feel like at this time next year....

You sort of hit a burnout plateau your second year. You have enough self-determination over your life and knowledge of the system by next year that you don't feel as overwhelmed. I was surprised at how depressed / unhappy I was during my second year. I nonetheless found myself really enjoying my last year of law school. You get less uptight about taking all your bar classes. You decide to pick a seminar or two because this is the last chance to sit around and wax philosophic over legal issues in this sort of forum. You take your law and literature course, or other interesting -- yet completely impractical -- course. And you know how to blow off class for weeks while still pulling pretty decent grades through two years of trial and error. Trust me. You will still have senioritis next year, but you won't feel as beaten as you do right now.

Eric, That's what I envision. There'll be some senioritis but there'll also be a goalpost that is very close. I'm taking two classes outside the law college next year for sure.
