Damn Westlaw to hell! Lexis-Nexis is the tool of Marxist-Leninist Satanists!

Tom Delay on Reagan appointee Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Tony Snow Show: "He said in session that he does his own research on the Internet? That is just incredibly outrageous."

You got a link or something that puts the quote in context? Let's make sure De Lay was being every bit a horse's ass before we call him a horse's ass...

I heard the interview.

Here's a link to the Yahoo! story about the interview.

Here's one that I found.

Obviously, Rhinquist and Thomas are keeping busy by wandering around the S.Ct. library pulling books off the shelves. And Scalia, well, we all know how important it is to stay true to how things were in the 1700's. He's still writing opinions with ink quills.

I heard that interview yesterday too, and started laughing hysterically in my car. Can we send him some westlaw pens and a lexis mug?

He also criticized Kennedy for looking to International Law in his decisions and claiming that this was against our Constitution. DeLay, of course, must realize that international treaties are part of the supreme law of the land, and that the Declaration of Independence was signed with an eye to what we considered "universal" rights.

I don't know if Con Law was a required course at the Sugarland Pest Extermination Institute. I'm sure he brought up international law hoping that people would equate it with French law. Of course, only Louisiana practices French law.

Wasn't Kennedy's reference to international law in the minor death penalty case more of an observation that the U.S. was the only Western "civilized" nation that still killed minors?
