If the latter is the case and insecurity is the issue, there's a very helpful show-and-tell scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High where Phoebe Cates uses a banana to educate a classmate on how it's nutritiously done.
Wolcott is a brilliant culture critic, but wasn't it a carrot?

It was a carrot (I recall the distinctive crunch as Cates bit it off following the demonstation) but for me the most remarkable part of Wolcott's article is the Daryn Kagan/Rush Limbaugh news. Hadn't heard that. Creepy. And I liked her.
Having said that, I haven't seen Limbaugh in years, and the last time I saw him, he looked surprisingly good.
