Too Much of a Good Thing
The proposed fall schedule is out and the dearth of good classes this semester is made up for by there being about a dozen classes in the fall I would like to take. I had trouble finding 12 hours to take this semester and now I'm going to have a problem choosing.
Here are the candidates with days and times:
Land-Use Planning (M-W 1000-1100)
Election Law (M-W 1100-1200)
Intl. Arb. & Lit. (R-F 900-1015)
Jurisprudence (R-F 1030-1145)
Antitrust (W-F 1400-1500)
Conflicts (W-F 1400-1500)
Law and Literature(R-F 1400-1500)
Sports Law (M-T 1500-1615)
Native Amer. Law (W 1900-2100)
Legal Profession (W-R 1510-1625)
I still need to take a seminar and there are several good ones:
Legislation
International Human Rights
Education Law
American For. Relations Law & Policy

I'd love to have taken a law and literature class. It gets my vote!

That's the one that's set in stone. That pretty much means no Conflicts or Anti-Trust, but Law & Lit has no exam and I get to read novels.

Land Use? It's interesting for the first 5 minutes or so. :) Legal Profession on the other hand is a requirement for our school.

LP is required here too. I included it because it's the last chance I have to take it from a professor I really like.

I loved my Jurisprudence class / seminar.
Legislation can be good, but you want to make sure you have a good professor for it. It can be boring too, but I would recommend that for your seminar.
International human rights is likely stupid, sorry for the idealists out there.
I also liked conflicts, but the law on conflicts is pretty settled, so taking it is a long exercise in learning the history of the subject. Most advanced civil procedure classes will cover a lot of the same material.
Make sure you take a federal courts class too.
Have fun picking.

Huh? Those ALL look dreadfully boring - with the exception of the Jurisprudence seminar. That at least has the potential for being interesting.
I suppose that Law/Lit class might be entertaining, though most likely entirely useless (kind of like the Film Noir class that Friedman took his 3L year which, for some reason, counted towards his graduation credits).
