Ahhhh.. Let it Bleed. I think the best or second best of the "holy four" (beggars/let it bleed/sticky/exile). "Daydream Nation" - I actually saw SY at First Ave in Downtown Mnpls on Nov 7, 1988. Still got the ticket stub. They had a ton of Fender Jags lined up b/c they broke strings on nearly every song.

I've seen SY in Minneapolis thrice. Twice at First Avenue and once at the Walker Art Center. The Daydream Nation tour in '88 was not one of them though. I was 16 at the time and only bought tapes based on what I read in Rolling Stone. Daydream Nation was one of them, though. They had to have all those extra axes because each song called for a different tuning. Playing a SY song on your own is such a pain in the ass because you have to completely fuck up your guitar in order to do it right.

They played at the Walker? Wow must have missed that one. I no longer follow SY but, I believe Daydream was probably there last, good album, maybe even their best after Sister. The pre-Nirvana hardcore and post-punk days will always be remembered. The Minutemen, the Meat Puppets, ahhhh....those were the days. I also saw Husker Du at First Ave before they started building snowmen on stage. The Butthole Surfers were magnificent back then as well.
