I'll be having a big "flush the drugs down the toilet" celebration as soon as possible!

Oh yay! Yay! Yay! Yay!

Let me know the date and time, and I'll flush with you. We can have the Lawmom flushout!

LOL! Not to be a buzz-kill, but I caution you to call your oncologist/pharmasist first. They may have a program for the turn-in of meds. They are toxic to water/soil. I wouldn't flush them. We wouldn't want to hear about a haz-mat cleanup at Kim's house... :-)

I'm sure imstell is right, having been thru the drill herself, but can you imagine that the chemicals the docs want to pour down your throat are unsuitable, i.e too toxic, for the environment? Woah!

Your "before" and "after" pictures have painted more than a few thousand words on just what you have been thru. One more reason to rejoice at the end of chemo.

Yay! So glad you'll soon have a little more space in the cabinet for lovely things like bath salts and nice, sniffy dusting powder... Your life is just going to keep getting better and Better and BETTER...

Wish I could be with you to join in the drug "flushing" party... We could have turned those un-needed suckers in to the pharmacy for disposal, and then proceeded on to the nearest chocolate emporium!!!

Seriously, how awesomely symbolic would it be to take all those meds BACK from whence they came, and say, "I no longer need these, thank you!!"

Take pictures, okay?!

how true! the entire cabinet under my sink is full of stuff i bought desperately at the pharmacy to stave off the effects of chemo. most of them i used once. crazy!

Reminds me of some collections of shaving creams that I've seen.

Kim,
CONGRATS on winning the scholarship! That is SUPER! Enjoy the trip to Vegas.

Also, I get the apprehension towards the last treatment. I remember feeling the same way, not as ecstatic as I thought I would be, and almost afraid. I think it was because I was done doing proactive things to rid myself of cancer and now it was time to keep the faith that it was gone. It's been NINE years and I'm still doing well!

I will pray that you experience the same success and peace of mind that I have!
Hugs
Laurie

Kim,
CONGRATS on your win! It took me a while to get through the website to finally find out through your blog that you won. I'm glad you're done with your chemo and hope you start to get you energy back soon. I know that it's tough when you just don't feel like getting up off the couch (at least it's been tough for Mama). But, it's over now and hopefully for good. Christ UMC is still praying for you and if you're ever driving down Algonquin road on Sunday morning around 10am, come on in and see us. Again, congrats on winning and finishing chemo!!

Hahaha. Be sure to post pictures of the swirly party!
